Also, I uploaded new work, 'The Mask of Soul', too.
Here is my statement of this work! Basically the mask is designed for shy people to speak their voice up to public!

'The mask of soul' gives psychological strength to be able to speak in public.
It's a black mask, which hides the speaker's identity and creates a small privacy in a public space.
Its microphone picks up the speaker's voice and plays it loud from the speaker on the top of the mask.
The idea is inspired by my personal experience of once having gone to karaoke with a very quiet shy friend, when he started to sing songs very loudly in the karaoke room. I would like to discuss through this work how small privacy gives psychological freedom in public.

Also, I uploaded small project for fun which is called "Augmented realitish video". Which is look-a-like aufmented reality, but created by very basic principal...!

I hope you enjoy it!!

I was on a Japanese TV -NHK CHIKYU AGORA-

I was on a Japanese TV called NHK Chikyu agora.
I was on the programme as a London based Japanese designer.
Also I could show my work, "iBum". A TV presenter, Yuta Nakano tried to be on my iBum.
He seems surprised to his result.
Also, I was on the programme as a TV reporter to have a workshop at a London based design studio, ABAKE. It was an amazing experience to have the workshop from Maki Suzuki at Abake.

I really enjoyed all of the filming. Thank you so much!

My interview is released on a Japanese Women's magazine 'TRINITY".

My interview is published on a Japanese Women's magazine "TRINITY" vol.46 last month.

Love train project in Tainan!

Hi, I am in Tainan, Taiwan.
I am here to do new project with students in National Chung Kung University as Royal College of Art, Design Products Platform 17 exchange programme with other students at P17.

We got an open brief about Tainan station.
So, I am doing a project about organizing trainspotting tour all over the world.
Tomorrow, I will start to film the project in Tainan! Very busy!!!

LOVE TRAIN project (1) Tokyo / Tomomi Sayuda from tomomisayuda on Vimeo.

Let’s make train spotting more popular!
Train spotting is an activity to transform boring everyday environment into an entertainment. Everyone doesn’t do it normally, but I would like to encourage more people to do the activity to add another perspective of everyday transports. People might find something new if I will explain about trains differently.
I am from Japan where we have massive culture and demand for train spotting. I would like to compare how people will react if I encourage to do train spotting in different locations in Tainan, Tokyo and London.
I will make maps of the best train spotting guide nearby of Tainan, Shinjuku in Tokyo and Marylebone in London. Then I will take people to the places and encourage to take photos and compare how people will react to the tour.
LOVE TRAIN project

3D scan of my face. Retouched 3D data came back!

I tried to scan my face a 3D scanner at my college.

My plaster face result

Very detailed

My real face scan result. Some parts are missing, but still it works, I realized.

I was playing with my face at Keyshot. I could make amazing graphics! I loved that!

Here is my process when I scanned last week.

Making a face mold from my face

ABAKE workshop Day 3: different ways to go to RCA

My first 3D scanning

I tried my first 3D scanning today. A scanner I tried was not designed for face scanning, so I made a plaster casting before hand, then I scanned it in. The scanning process for my plaster face went really well. I could get a lot of details of it. Bug for my face scan and small doll scan, it was difficult.
Overall, it was worth trying it out even though I should pay 25 pounds for 2.5h fee.
I will try to 3D print once my data is well patched.

Different journey every day -day2-

My second day result of abake's workshop, I should take different route everyday!
